Siding
If the siding is made from good material and has been properly maintained, you can expect few problems. Fortunately, the siding on many of the buildings in the greater New York area is in good condition.
Some buildings were constructed with poor siding materials or have not received proper siding maintenance. Some types of siding also deteriorate with time. There are many different types of siding including aluminum, asbestos shingle, asphalt shingle, brick, brownstone, cedar shingle, fieldstone, clapboard, cut stone, Drivit®, stone, stucco, and vinyl. The Engineer will assess the siding for you, and provides an expense analysis in the engineering report to help you understand the future replacement costs.
